Changing the site was not an easy decision. In the ME section, I shared a little bit about how this site came to me. It’s personal. I prayed about changing it around for sometime; something always held me back. My goal is still to honor Jesus with what I do and say, and if that doesn’t come through, please call me out on it. Even with the domain name change, I can still bring Jesus honor and focus this site more on personal growth and development. (Spoiler alert: He’s going to be sprinkled in anyway.)
Hopefully, that has been the case already with what I’ve written previously. Thanks to Covid-19, I have found myself drawn near to behavior, behavior change, and habits once again. Who knows—had it not been for Covid-19, I may have kept my previous domain (you can still get here from there for a while longer, by the way). Not long ago, I wrote about starting now So, why not?
I’ve learned with big decisions, it helps me to take my time, pray, talk things over with my wife and friends, and even sleep on them. Maybe even sleep on them more than once! In any event, I believe this is the right decision for right now, which is about all any of us can do, isn’t it? Make the best choice we can in the present moment with the information we have at our disposal? This was not a “lightning deal” or impulse decision.
I have been adjusting the looks and adding functionality (hopefully). As always, if you notice something that doesn’t make sense (function, grammar, missing items that you think would make things better, etc.), please tell me. While my wife and I proof the posts, we still miss things. There are various ways of interacting with me conveniently located in sensible spots. In addition, I have adjusted my social media handles for more consistency across the spectrum, drjasonnewcomb. Hopefully, there are “easy button”ways of sharing (please share, by the way). Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter have all been updated with the current and correct domain.
I, for one, am looking forward to this change.
Let’s grow together.
Let’s learn some things.
Let’s move from where we are to where we want to be.
Thanks for joining me.
